Villas Marbella News | Tráfico to reduce speeds to 30 kms/hour in towns and cities

The new limit will affect all roads with a single lane in each direction, or single lane one-way streets.

The DGT traffic authority has announced plans to reduce the speed limit on all urban roads with just one lane in each direction to 30 km/hour, or in one way streets with a single lane. Currently most such roads have a 50 km/hour limit.

This Saturday we see the start of the Marbella Classic Poker series 2011.

There is a change in the structure to a two day event instead of the previous 3 days it ran over in the past. This I feel is a good move on the part of the Marbella Casino, as we demonstrated at last year’s Marbella Mob Open, a two day event with a good structure and earlier starting times is a far more attractive game for the seasoned poker player than a 3 day slog.

Villas Marbella News | Spain in Appeal to Bring Back British Buyers

The Spanish government has launched a direct appeal to Britons to help kick-start Spain’s faltering economy by buying some of the country’s 700,000 unsold houses.

Beatriz Corredor, the Spanish housing secretary, promised new planning laws to end the confusion which has led to some British home owners being ordered to knock down their properties deemed to have been illegally built.
